MARTIAL ARTS TIME
(A true LAW OF ATTRACTION story)

I was nineteen years old---a young paratrooper. I had been wanting to get into a study of martial arts, and had done some at ages 7, 12, and 15. I was fascinated with the idea of learning the secrets of personal combat, but no teachers were around.

I was focused on finding a sensei when I overheard a sergeant talking about a judo team.

I waited for the conversation to be over, and then asked the sergeant about the
Judo team he had mentioned.

He practically snarled at me, “Be at the gym at 7, and find out.” Then he ignored me, so I moved on.

That night, to his surprise, I appeared at the gym, and that’s when I learned that people were always asking about the judo, but never showing up.

He had me work out with the team that night, and I couldn’t believe how much fun it was---I was sold!

Later that week I realized that my thoughts, and desires had created the dynamics that the universe had lined up in order to match the vibrations I was offering.

At the time, I didn’t think in those terms. I just thought, “Wow! When I want something enough and focus on it, chances are it comes to me.”

I was on the judo team for four years and Brown Belt Judo Champion of U.S. Army Forces in Europe for three of those years.
