STILL DANCING IN THE LIGHT
A true ‘Law of Attraction’ story

I can’t tell this very personal story without my eyes overflowing with tears, but it is such a powerful expression of the LAW OF ATTRACTION that Renae and I have long felt the need to share this adventure.

When this story begins I had been teaching martial arts for well over twenty years, and loved it.

One of my students was Renae, and after two years she had become one of the best in my dojo. We had never gone out except to coffee with other students, and our relationship had remained student-teacher. But that was about to be changed by one of the greatest experiences of my life.

One night as I sat in deep meditation, I left my body, and was suddenly in a vast blackness of space. I couldn’t imagine what I was doing there, and as I looked around I saw a sparkling light in the distance. As it moved toward me I had the sudden knowing it was Renae.

As she came closer, I knew that I too was a light body, and I was moving toward her.

There was no consciousness of time, but we kept moving towards each other until our light bodies merged with every cell joining with each other. It is not possible to describe the intense, joyful feeling that filled me as every one of our cells came together, and we danced in our light.

Finally we parted, and I returned to my body. There was a jolt as I reentered my body, and came to full physical consciousness. My entire body was vibrating with overwhelming love for Renae, and the wonder of it all.

Then I thought, “I’ve got to find a way to tell her about this.” I had no idea how she would respond, and I didn’t want to scare her, so I decided to wait until I determined a way to approach her.

The next night when I entered my dojo to teach a class, Renae was already there. She walked up to me with a strange look on her face and asked, “Did you visit me last night?”

I was stunned, and finally replied, “We need to talk---tonight---after class.”

I have no idea what I taught that night. I probably left everyone in a state of total confusion.

After the class we went to a fast food place nearby, got drinks and sat at an inside table.

I didn’t want to offer any words or suggestions that might influence Renae’s explanation, so I said, “You asked me if I visited you last night. Why don’t you tell me what exactly you meant by that.”

After a few moments she said, “Well I lay down to sleep, and I fell into a kind of sleep, but not sleep place. Anyway, I left my body, and found myself in space. Everything was black, but almost immediately I saw a light in the distance approaching me, and I knew it was you.”

“We came together in our light bodies and danced in the light for awhile---I don’t know for how long---then I went back to my body.”

It was at that moment that we both knew we were meant for each other, and that we were brought together by a higher power.

That occurred over 23 years ago, and I will tell you right now that our love has grown, and blossomed beyond anything I could have imagined, and we are still dancing in the LIGHT.

As an aside (this after the above story was written). I wanted a true partner in my life that was brilliant, funny, creative, talented, and maybe even beautiful. Joyfully, far more than my expectations have been met with the most amazing, and wonderful person I have ever known---Renae is my BEST FRIEND.
