Hi all,
I've been spending a lotta time watching Robt. G. Smith's Faster EFT, and I thought I would share some of the short insights he mentions on a few of the videos:
1. Perception produces feelings in the body
2. Diabetes...tap on whatever stresses can be addressed
3. Build emotional muscle.
4. Finances, relationships, jobs, weight are not problems...they are symptoms.
5. Memories buried alive never die. The mind creates the feelings---the feelings are not what is controlling you, it's the memories and it's expressions that control you.
6. A negative trigger is a gift--it points the way to release another resistance, so you can allow more joy and love.
There's lots more, but I will let it go for now. More later.
If this is stuff you can resonate with, and would like more, just let me know.
Lotsa love from Andries

Peace Is, Joy Is, Wellbeing Is

Written on Christmas Eve, 1513
I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep.
There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today.
There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today.
Take heaven!
No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this present little instant. Take peace!
No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this present little instant. Take peace!
The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach, is joy. There is radiance and glory in darkness, could we but see. And to see, we have only to look. I beseech you to look!Life is so generous a giver. But we, judging its gifts by their covering, cast them away as ugly or heavy or hard. Remove the covering, and you will find beneath it a living splendor, woven of love by wisdom, with power.
Welcome it, grasp it, and you touch the angel's hand that brings it to you.
Everything we call a trial, a sorrow or a duty, believe me, that angel's hand is there.
The gift is there and the wonder of an overshadowing presence. Your joys, too, be not content with them as joys. They, too, conceal diviner gifts.Life is so full of meaning and purpose, so full of beauty beneath its covering, that you will find earth but cloaks your heaven. Courage then to claim it; that is all!
But courage you have, and the knowledge that we are pilgrims together, wending through unknown country home. And so, at this time, I greet you, not quite as the world sends greetings, but with profound esteem and with the prayer that for you, now and forever, the day breaks and shadows flee away.

Tapping for physical conditioning
We do so much tapping I'm getting dents in my head. I sure hope it's worth it, 'cause now the dents may be peculiar but you should see the calluses on my fingertips, and my arms are definitely getting stronger.
Sometimes it's better to have someone else do the tapping for you---it just seems to be more effective, but let them know if they're too enthusiastic.
Mental tapping is just as effective as the physical stuff, and with a bit of practice, I believe it is actually even more powerful---after all, we are playing with vibrations and frequencies elicited by our emotions---in order to change a physical response.
EFT is about making every part of your life experience more enjoyable, creative and productive. More love, more money, better health, more joy, more fun, more, more, more of all the good stuff!! You are worthy of all of it and more!
My best to all of you,
Andries

EFT -- It Works for Everything!

One of the most creative and endearing things we've learned and practiced is that everything that shows up in the body is a manifestation of something we've been practicing vibrationally. That's why a "pain in the neck" can really become a pain in the back/head/neck. To us, a body condition is not a problem or a failure, it is simply a symptom of something emotional/psychological/mental that we've been practicing.
When I got a flu over the Thanksgiving holiday, I tried to think of something that I'd been thinking or doing that might be stressing me. Finally what came to me was from Robert G. Smith's video #216 on grief and loss. I tapped on the trauma of seeing my dad in the hospital after his head operation and then after his stroke, and I experienced immediate relief from my flu symptoms. Then I just had to tap to clean up the rest of the ideas about how long it takes to get over the flu. I was really grateful that the sickness came to make me take notice of something that I could release and be free of. And once you tap to release something, it's really gone. It's not like taking a pill that masks the problem and wears off. Then I went back to the original experience and thanked myself and my dad again for the awesome learning and expansion and growth.
I love life, I love EFT, and I love that we have this place to share what works for us.

Appreciation Day(s)

We love Thanksgiving, because it is one of the most truly useful holidays we celebrate. Appreciation is our favorite thing to practice, because it is really so much fun. It's kind of like playing Pollyanna's Glad Game, where no matter what happens, if you really look and are determined to find something good, you'll be able to see it. It's quite irritating to people who haven't tried it and don't see the rational sense in it, but we try to be gently positive with them. With people who really understand the value of it, we can be quite enthusiastic and come up with all kinds of great, outrageously wonderful ways to look at things.
Byron Katie is really good at this. She explains that all she's doing is refusing to argue with reality (what is) and always expects reality to be kinder than anything we can imagine. We know a lady who grew up in a family that practiced this kind of awareness, and although we all have challenges, she has been blessed to have learned early on that "naggetivity" -- that nagging worry about things -- does not make you any safer, more prepared, or anything good.
So go on and appreciate every day, maybe before you eat, or when you get in your car, or take a deep breath. It's like a muscle; the more you use it, the easier and more powerful it gets.

Abraham-Hicks and the Inner Being
Abraham says "get in the Vortex". The Vortex is the energy swirling around your Expanded Self or Inner Being. It is huge, as it has been amassing since You came into existence.
Your Expanded Self exists in a dimension of light, color, love, and well-being. I have felt some of this when I felt my dad right after he made his transition from physical to nonphysically-focused. It was huge, all-encompassing, and joyful.
Get that real sense of experiencing your Inner Being, the eternal, nonphysical part of you that has nothing of your current physical focus.
It is unforgettable, and you will never again think that you are JUST this gorgeous, lovely, huggable, cuddly stud muffin or goddess, this personality, this limited self with all its challenges and experiences.
You can be comfortable with this exercise, by realizing that when you're going inside YOU, there's nothing else there. No other beings or forces or places. You're safe, you're loved, and your physical self is cherished, and you can't lose yourself.
Let's do an exercise to get in touch with that Inner Being. Read through this, get a feel for the overall picture, then read it again, close your eyes and just BE.
1. Take a few deep breaths to center and relax yourself.
2. Feel the center of your being located in your body.
3. As huge and deep as the universe is, the center of your being is the same. Feel this.
4. Look to that center and see a tunnel of light that connects you to it always.
5. Feel the tunnel loving and calling you, and go into it.
6. Feel yourself approach your Inner Being, and blend with it.
7. Feel the place where your Inner Being dwells, in love and well-being and joy and light.
8. Come back to conscious awareness, keeping that feeling of connection with your Expansive Self.
Fun, huh? You can touch this expanded self whenever and as often as you wish. It is here for you. It is the You that loves and adores and celebrates you and your physical experience.

Meeting up with The Best of my Dad

For the first time that I consciously and deliberately know, several months ago I focused on my dad's nonphysical self in a way that allowed me to feel him deeply and freely, without the distraction of his old physical body and his old thought patterns.
Since then, I have gotten to experience a nonphysical "hug" from him, enveloping me with his wonderful light self. I have gotten to experience communication from him without my consciously going into a meditation for that, and also realized how aware he was of everything that was going on with his loved ones.
Now I can just focus on my connection with him and really feel how strong and constant it is.
I have gained so much in new little things that don't depend on his physicality, they mean everything.
Abraham says "There is no such thing as death. There is only Life and more Life."
I feel so blessed that my dad and Andries and the girls are participating in this expansion with me. I am so happy that many people understand how to celebrate my dad's life and make that their focus. I love my life, I love this world, and I love the wonder of new expansion.

Rerouting the Thought Train
Abraham-Hicks talks about "beatin
g a drum", which is thinking a thought over and over or chewing on an issue where thought clusters seem to go in a circle.
We start thinking a thought with emotion (anger, guilt, etc.), then that feeling is so strong within us that we usually are keeping it up for way more than 17 seconds (that time is like a magical point that automatically brings more of the same type of thoughts to us).
And even though it doesn't feel good, I think it is my reality and I should be figuring out a way to fix it. When I do that now, the quote from Abraham comes in my head, "There is nothing more important than that you feel good." Way better idea, isn't it?
Imagine that throughout your day you continuously think "Now, what would be better-feeling-good-thought I can have?"
When I'm with people who are acting or talking in a way that is uncomfortable for me, I used to have a habit of closing down or putting up a wall to protect myself, or even something more drastic.
Andries: Years ago, I was meeting with a businessman I thought I might want to teach, but after several minutes of HIS conversation, I raised my hand toward him---stopping his monologue, and said, "You know, you can't seem to say even one sentence without filling it with profanity, and I just don't want to do business with you." Then I walked out. As soon as I left, I felt better, but I could have done something that honored me and him.
The thing is, the walls and the shutdown mode only trap me inside MY OWN judgment and I take the long, hard road of trying to ride it out instead of reaching for a better thought or feeling. When I am in a situation that I don't think I want, I'm the one creating the feeling of discomfort by continuing to endure it. Choose to disconnect from that thought train that is going down the unwanted track, because if you're not enjoying your life, who is?
1) As soon as you realize you are beating the negative thought/feeling drum, turn your attention to anything, anything at all, that you can appreciate. Children are really good at distraction, so turn to your inner child and say, "What can I play with here?" What appeals to me here, right now?
2) Move your body to a new position. Usually you'll notice your arms are crossed or something along that line. Take a breath, uncross them, and deliberately relax. Tension doesn't protect you, it actually keeps you feeling vulnerable. Relax, and your mind will be free to find something more fun to focus on.
Thanks for being here, we love this space...

Thanks to my Family and Love to my Dad
Re-post of blog from May 2009, because it applies now, too. My dad left his body on May 28. I can still connect with him and I know that he feels my love for him, and I certainly feel his love for me, every day. Now he feels like a real guardian angel to me.
Getting to a place of peace with someone who you love who is making their transition is one of the most challenging things I've dealt with, and I'm still dealing. I spent time just about every day at the hospital before he died, and then in between I was working on my own fears, expectations, etc. I want to thank my husband, partner, and best friend, Andries... He is my touchstone, holding to a place of well-being when I can't remember what I know to be true. He allows me to experience whatever I can reach at the moment, since he Knows who I really am. That's the best friend you can have -- one who can accept whatever you are feeling or being in the moment while silently and consistently inviting you to return to the best you can be and feel and vibrate. Our girls do the same. If I can play and laugh, fine, and if I can't get there, they let me alone until it's time to invite me again. Isn't all of that the epitome of unconditional love? This life is such a blessing, and one of my favorite quotes from Abraham is, "There is never a good reason to separate yourself from Source". Thanks, everyone who also holds the space for understanding joy and alignment and well-being. You are a blessing to yourself and to everyone and everything in the universe!

For a couple of years now, we've been watching videos from Robert G. Smith on YouTube. His channel is called HealingMagic. He does FasterEFT, which includes some visualization and NeuroLinguistic Programming. He has clips from his seminars in which real people come up to clear issues ranging from grief and loss to physical pain to weight loss, and many more. He is another example of a person with a passion for what he shares, so he is willing to show exactly what he's doing and the amazing results these people experience in minutes. People will come up into the chair and cry uncontrollably because of sadness, but within minutes, once the body's physical support for the emotions is neutralized, they are able to see the issue in a new light, not one created by Robert, but a new perspective that they come up with themselves. He also some videos in which he's explaining what he's doing and how.
Robert G. Smith is located in Oklahoma when he's not traveling the world. He is a great person and another one of our heroes.

Relieving Psoriasis and root cause
We met with a friend in a restaurant who was experiencing breakouts and itching on his hands as well as chronic back pain. Some people are too self-conscious to do the EFT tapping in public, and I told him I would tap and he could just follow what I was doing mentally, but he went right into the tapping using the side of the hand.
Even though my hands are itching, I deeply and completely love and accept myself
Even though my hands have broken out...
Even though I am terribly embarrassed by the condition of my hands...
Even though I feel helpless to change it...
Then we went through another tapping series like this:
eyebrow---I release and let go of all anger
SE---all fear
UE---all anxiety
UN---all tension
CHIN---all frustration
COLLAR BONE---all feelings of helplessness, of hopelessness, of being overwhelmed
UA---all sadnesses
UN---all conditions which have caused this condition in my hands.
Then we tapped on the pain in his back which came from an automobile accident from many years past. We revisited the time of the accident when he was rearended, and we tapped on the terror, the fear, the anger, the frustration, the loss of his car, etc.
By the time we left he was down to 0 on all conditions and we were all feeling the amazing results of vibrating like tuning forks. Our friend's enthusiastic response was one of 'those' moments.
Love to all, Andries

Gary Craig and EFT
One of the most inspiring and generous people we've ever heard of is Gary Craig, the founder of the EFT organization. He believes in the EFT process and the unlimited possibilities of its benefits that he gives the process away for free to those who wish to try it. The website, www.emofree.com has a manual in pdf form that is free for download. You don't have to sign up for anything, but the video support and the newsletters that you can receive with it are quite valuable and enriching. Because he believes so much and gives so much to everyone, many people all over the world send in emails and contribute their own stories, scripts, variations on the process, and visualizations that represent the concept of the issue. Some are really miraculous, and many incorporate humor, which is always helpful in relaxing resistance and heaviness that we often bring to a topic that has been bothering us.
Gary Craig is a hero to many people, and certainly to us. Thanks, Gary, for everything that you do and all that you are!

Injury doesn't Have to equal Pain
A while back, I had the fortune to work with a lady who showed just how well we can be despite evidence to the contrary. She had tooth pain from a tooth that was coming apart. A little piece had already broken off, and then she was eating some fried chicken and a piece of the crust went right into the crevice and broke off a bigger piece. She was scheduled for the dentist the next day, but she was in a lot of pain and expected to just put up with it until the tooth could be fixed.
She said she had never had acupressure or acupuncture done, but was open to new things. We started with tapping for:
Even though my tooth is broken
This throbbing pain in my tooth
Even though part of my tooth is gone
Pretty quickly we moved on to the guilt part of the experience
Even though it's my fault that it hurts
I shouldn't have eaten on that side
I should have been more careful
I deserve to have the pain
It was the darn chicken that did it
I'm so mad at myself
There was more, but you get the idea. We did the Faster EFT only 2 times. By then the pain was down to a 1 or 2. Then she began talking about another issue that was bothering her, and even though it seemed unrelated, I could tell that it was really part of the same thing. The tooth was just the physical manifestation of that problem. By the time we went over the new issue and were able to discuss it in a new light, the tooth pain was completely gone.
What a wonderful experience, that even though she had the proof of the broken tooth in her mouth, and the condition of the tooth hadn't changed at all, the pain was not necessary. She would get her tooth fixed, but she didn't need the aweful pain to motivate her to do it. I just love what we do, and how many people are open to changing their possibilities by changing their vibrations and feelings.

It's all about you
We love to help people get to where they'd like to be or let go of things like physical pain, but we really can't do anything. It's all in your willingness to explore, let go, change your mind/thoughts, and feel better. A lady named Cathleen came to one of our meetups, simply intending to discuss the Law of Attraction. We had been studying Faster EFT for a while, and as she had pain in her back, we asked if she would like to relieve it. We tapped only 2 rounds - the first one for the feeling and the event that caused it, and the second for remaining stiffness and discomfort. The pain had started at a 10 but went down to 0. This lady was fast! She also had not had more than 4 or 5 days to practice having the injury.
The relief doesn't always happen this fast, but it happens often enough not to be unusual. That's the fun and creativity of EFT.

Birthdays and parties

Birthdays, birthdays, birthdays---you can't do without them. Some years ago Renae and I took a page from the concepts of the Australian Aborigines who believe it is very strange to celebrate a birthday---after all, it's not like you have to do anything special to have one. They believe that when everyone agrees that it is time to have a party, they have one.
Some years ago, when we were traveling and living fulltime in a motorhome, we had decided to play in Durango, Colorado. One evening, close to midnight (we are night owls) our daughters (then about 4 years old) asked if we could have a birthday party. We enthusiastically drove our motorhome to Wal-Mart and bought ice cream, cake, party hats and noise makers, and had a birthday party for all of us. It was great fun, and I highly recommend having parties for absolutely no reason at all except that you just want to celebrate life with those you love.
Love to all, Andries

20 years of pain gone in 1 1/2 hours
Using EFT for pain from an injury that occurred over 20 years ago has become a common story. Renae and I spent about an hour and a half with the head of counseling at a university working with the counselor in relieving pain in the neck, shoulder, and lower back. It began with the counselor telling us about the neck pain (or 'pain in the neck')which we tapped on. As the pain began receding, the shoulder jumped into the mix as a part of this experience, and after addressing the neck and the shoulder, the lower back joined the crowd.
Sometimes you have to follow the pain to get to the emotional triggers that are usually the basis for chronic pain.
I would go through an EFT series with him, then Renae would take over. It was so much fun, and so creative to work with each other, and we always get great results.
The counselor's pain had dropped from a 7 out of 10 in intensity to a 1 before time caused us to stop the experience.
I'll post again on the results of this EFT session. Keep on tappin', and bring more fun into your life.
Love from Andries and Renae

Seeing through new eyes
The LAW OF ATTRACTION, the most powerful law in the universe gives you the tools to create the world of your choice.
Abraham (Abraham-Hicks) says, "See through eyes of Source", and perhaps you can emerge into a more expansive perspective by "Seeing through eyes of Child".
How nice to view everything with new eyes from new you in your new world.
We really are new from moment to moment with trillions of changes taking place in the cells of our bodies every second, and because we change---the way we view the world also changes (it doesn't have to be big to be different).
Okay! Let's get back to basics. Everything in the Universe is vibrational---everything has its own frequencies---everything and every particle is both positive and negative, and all frequencies or vibrations that are alike, are attracted to each other, positive to positive, negative to negative---it is not true that opposites attract (another old wive's tale that we are supposed to accept at face value).
Each of us has our own exclusive, unique way to see the world. Each of us sees the world in a different way, so there is an exclusive, unique world for each one of us.
Get it? There is not one planet earth, but billions of planet earths. One for each of us...and each one changing from moment to moment.
Exploring is really fun isn't it? MORE LATER...thanks from Andries

Abraham (Abraham-Hicks) says, "See through eyes of Source", and perhaps you can emerge into a more expansive perspective by "Seeing through eyes of Child".
How nice to view everything with new eyes from new you in your new world.

Relationships are everything

If you think about it, life is all about relationships. You with your Now self, your ideal self, your family, your friends, your world, your money... I feel like I've been working on my relationship with my family all my life. I used to approach it as a problem. If I just did the right thing, said the right words, whatever, we could magically open up to each other and relate on a deeper level. Now I know that they have been catalysts to my opening up to myself, and as I continue to live this concept, I love them and my life even more. I was able to make some progress, but it took a long time. Then I found Faster EFT and the change has been profound and lasting. That's the nice thing about EFT. You're not practicing a new way to be over and over -- you're actually able to stop all the role playing and automatic responses and then you can CHOOSE how you want to be.
We teach this technique with our personal flavor to everyone who asks in any way.

We're tapping into our greatness
We discovered Emotional Freedom Technique several years ago and started studying it. It is a great technique, Gary Craig who founded the organization is a great man, and we used it for many things, studied the DVD's, read the newsletters, and were greatly inspired.
Then about a year and a half ago we discovered Faster EFT, which was developed by Robert G. Smith. His YouTube channel is HealingMagic. We have links for both of them on this blog page. We love his philosophy, his techniques, his wonderful teaching videos and examples of his work in actual seminars with real people working on real issues.
We have now developed our own blend of techniques and tools, and are working with individuals and groups in the areas of sports performance, weight issues, relationships, scholastic performance, physical issues and pain relief, and many other topics. We know that we both have a special gift in this area and are happy to have the opportunity to share it. Check it out, and if you're as amazed and inspired as we are, contact us for a personal session.

Pain free/no meds

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT MY PAIN? People have asked me about this many times. It's a good question...one I have dealt with for about 12 years. Have I found an answer? For me, I have, but I don't know about anyone else, so I'll just share my personal experiences. After a motorcycle accident, the doc's wanted to do a hip replacement. I said, "NO". They told me it would only get worse, and that there were no options; the sooner I had the surgery the better it would be.
The big change began the day Renae told me, "You are not your body." It gave me a new perception about my interaction with the condition I was continuously recreating. At that time I was taking from 14 to 16 ibuprofen a day.
I stopped completely, and began waiting for the results, hoping the pain would not reassert itself to the same degree.
Imagine my surprise when about a week later, the pain just stopped. I still have a really gimpy limp since my right leg is about an inch and a half higher than my left one, and I use a hiking pole to control some of the movement. I've never used a cane since they make you lean over (the hiking pole keeps my body erect).
Every day I imagine myself as the huge non-physical being I am. It is as if I am looking at my physical self from a place of detachment, and it really helps to maintain a positive perspective.
I have also learned to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to alleviate any pain without meds. We started with Emofree.com, Gary Craig's site, and later went to Faster EFT with Robert G. Smith. You can find all of this online. It's free, it works, and it works faster than meds ever could.
I have found that with EVERY pain or discomfort there is an emotional tie. Sometimes I know what it is, sometimes I discover it through meditation, and sometimes it reveals itself when I am doing EFT. If it doesn't make itself known, I just tap on releasing the emotional discord that is the source of the discomfort, and letting it leave whatever part of my body it is stored in. I also talk to the intelligence that is representative of my body's cells. It knows what to do, and can create any chemical my physical self, and emotional self needs. It knows what to do, understands the well-being that is my natural state, and without my interference, can fix me up.
Another part of recovery for me was looking for the fun in my life and using any excuse to play. I often challenge my ability to move in different ways, and smile as much as I can, but the best thing is a raucous belly laugh. It changes you and your world, as does the appreciation and love you feel for yourself and your body. Appreciate everything and everyone around you and let them know how much you appreciate them,..it lines your up with your expanded self. Study the Law of Attraction, especially Abraham-hicks. You can't go wrong.
And may the force be with you,
Andries

Vibrating prosperity
Hi ALL
Here it is Friday, and another uplifting moment is here. Each day surprises us with new feelings of our expansion...in wondrous ways.
This morning, oops, afternoon, I have been thinking about the many ways we can express our abundance. Renae and I have been on a 'rampage' of looking at our meet-up groups and wondering how we could make some changes that would show how we appreciate who and what we are, which brought me to the place of telling the story the way I want it to be.
So, moving into that place of my expanded self, and projecting myself a short span into my future...this is what I am experiencing vibrationally: Wow!, what great meet-ups we had last week...all four of them, and isn't it a joy to experience how I have automatically turned to expressing myself as being abundant. I have been putting money into our zip-bag, leaving something for the restaurant staff that cleans up our mess, and opening for the expanded prosperity I am expressing.
WE got it, that it is all about our vibrational offerings in every part of our life. We got it that it is as wonderful to give as it is to receive, and we got it that giving is the first step in feeling that wondrous place of unlimitedness that is our right...just imagine, I am worthy, I am huge, I am Light, I am amazingly fulfilled, I am never wrong and I never get it done, I am eternal. Here's the caveat, when I give, give through the vibration of feeling my unlimited abundance, my unlimited prosperity...it is who I am. When I offer the vibration of abundance FIRST...then IT MUST BE!
Lotsa love from Andries

A New Experience

Lately I've felt a little constrained by the requirements of the past several weeks. I've been at the hospital almost every day, spending hours to help my mom and sisters take care of my dad. I'm not that crazy about hospitals, but I've been able to take this one in stride without the painful judgments (really, condemnation) I harbored in the past. But lately I've been Really Not enjoying my time there. Once I noticed this, I started asking myself what else I could think that would allow me to not feel stuck in this situation.
The answer came from my meditation, again. The only way you ever feel like you're spinning your wheels is when you feel like "Oh, I've already spent weeks here doing this same thing, in this same room, for all this time." The new thought is, "Today when I go to the hospital, it is a completely new experience. It is a new day, I am a new person, and everything that happens today has never happened before." This has helped immensely, and I'm hoping that by sharing it with you, I will be able to utilize it again when and if I am in this kind of situation again.

Blogs are awesome!
It's taken a while for Andries and I to understand the whole idea with blogging, and the idea has taken off so much that finding a particular blog subject is like looking for a 4-leaf clover in a clover patch. But one thing definite about it -- it allows me to explore my ideas and perspectives and experiences in a new way and find out new things about them as I write.
Andries and I usually talk about new ideas every morning and enjoy new insights all the time. Now blogging has allowed us to expand in that area too, since we now can do that in writing. So if you're exploring new ideas and don't have someone in your immediate space to expand with, do it in a blog.
At first I thought it would be too hard to get people to share this space and make it more interactive, but now I realize that Law of Attraction is here, too, and will bring people to me as I allow it. So thanks for showing up!
Maybe we'll find yours and get the benefit of your online expansion, too :)

Judgment on top of judgment

So I'm sitting with my sisters and mother in the hospital, waiting to visit my dad again, and they start complaining about the nurses and the way things are done (actually not done), and I'm not getting into this topic of conversation because Andries and I don't usually beat those drums, and so what do I do?
Just to relieve the discomfort and boredom, I started appreciating the painting on the wall, and that helped a lot until they moved on to another topic, but it didn't improve either my own judgment about them practicing indignation and their habit of creating problems and blowing them up to gargantuan proportions. Eww, that sounds kind of a negative judgment, doesn't it? So it worked in the moment, but it didn't improve my habitual opinion of them or really make me feel better about their future behavior and the enjoyability of conversation with them.
Later on, Andries and I are discussing what would work better in this situation, and I realized that what I really want is for them to feel good about what the nurses do, to appreciate and allow the hospital staff to be competent, caring, and effective. Looking at my past experience with them and my feelings about them, I didn't think I could reasonably expect that. So, instead of trying to avoid it or change them, I could at least look for a better-feeling thought about what they do.
I realized that their actual desire is for my father to get better, to be like he was before, and there's nothing they can do to make sure that happens. So complaining and finding fault and actually just makes them feel like they're doing something for my dad. It seems like a lot of resistance, but actually they are trying to put themselves in a better place and feel more powerful. And when I found that thought, I felt immediate relief. Now I can hear them complain and feel good about them taking some power back. And if this thought feels better for a while and then stops feeling so good, I can find another. And now I know I will.
I realized long ago that judging other peoples judgments (negativity) doesn't work at all in the direction I'm intending for my life, and little by little, I find those areas and turn them around until they feel better. I makes me easier on myself, too, when I'm not being who I know I can be.
Us and those others

How many folks are there out 'there' that I would prefer not to do a whole lot of communicating with? Well, let them line up.
Sometimes, I would just rather not interact, co-create with some others. I might think that they just don't think like I do...they're too negative, not enough fun, not loving enouth, not compassionate, too much old thought...not enough like me!
Now let me think (scratch my jaw) could it be that I am so powerful that I am creating each of those experiences with the power of my own intentions...my own expectations of how the dynamics with another person or persons will play out.
Could it be that I am actually creating the not so happy experiences with others?
What a conundrum! What can I do? Woe is me! Well, 'hello', since I created a particular circumstance with another human being, I guess its okay to create another way to interact with myself and them.
All of the people I have ever known, I brought into my own orbit for my own benefit, so I guess I'll just have to accept my own perfidy in this drama and move on to a more beneficial way to enjoy myself wherever I am, with whoever I am talking to, whoever I am working with, whoever I am playing with, maybe, just maybe, I can make it all play.
Since I am a new person everyday, and so are they, my new plan of expectations has a good chance of working. Oh, yeah, it is already working.
Lotsa love and fun to all,
Andries

What a great moment! All life is a moment, and a moment doesn't mean a second or a minute, or any measure of time. A moment is the Now that you are feeling, and living in moments is inspiring and freeing and expansive.

Appreciation

I'm baaack! After a long weekend, it's nice to be back pondering things LOA and beyond. It's a beautiful sunny day here and we're slowly acclimatizing to the warmer temperatures. At this time of the year, it's usually much, much easier to be positive and appreciative at night, when it cools down and the breeze can really be felt. Appreciation is such an interesting thing. A habit of appreciation is quite rare in my experience.
When people talk about being thankful or grateful, they are usually operating from having just experienced something very difficult or uncomfortable. Therefore, they are feeling the gratitude from the contrast of "bad" to "not bad" rather than just being here in this moment and feeling the good feeling of noticing it for what it is now, without comparing it to anything else. That is the only way that I used to be able to really feel that kind of feeling.
Now, Andries and I have been habitually practicing appreciation so much that I am able to use that as a tool to leverage myself out of dissatisfaction or even sadness. At first, appreciation can be difficult to feel when we are not used to finding things to appreciate. I used to have to pick small things like the weather or my coffee or the chair I was sitting in to start with. And my appreciation was rather grudging. I was afraid that if I appreciated my surroundings too much, the universe would say, "Oh, she's happy. We'll just leave her there." It took me a while to understand that nothing like that is true. Now I know that you can only progress in a positive way from appreciation.
Now I can appreciate the perfect workings of a perfect universe. I can appreciate the intricate timing and contrivance that brings me exactly what I need when I allow it. I do appreciate almost everything I've lived and am playing with bringing the rest into that lovely feeling of contentment. I look forward to many more things to appreciate, and I supremely appreciate my imagination, which allows me to expand into new ideas and experiences and line up with them in a powerful way.
I appreciate everyone who reads this and everyone who doesn't...

Yesterday I was talking about my affirmation experiences. I should have prefaced it with the comment that I tried affirmations as a creation tool many years ago...without much success. The idea that you can repeat the same word over and over until they become your reality was definitely lacking something, and I found that something to be the vibration of emotion. Adding that into the mix has made a universe of difference.
Just for a moment, let me dwell on the concept of dimensions. This will be short, as often, the time that we spend in other dimensions is miniscule. What if I understand in my heart, head and large toe that the vibrations I offer into this universe are resonating in a special vibrational place that is uniquely its own, and what if every frequency is its own dimension? If this is true then I must be traveling in, and experiencing many dimensions on a regular basis, often jumping from one to the other. Sounds like a 'trip' to me.
Fun for all

Allowing Them to Allow Me
I've had the most amazing week, with many new ways of seeing, and today I really got the idea of feeling discord from looking at things not wanted and knowing that a desire has been born from it, and looking for the actual desire, then following it to fruition. That's the idea.
Here's the experience. I felt the discord from not being understood or valued, and didn't even realize until this morning that I was feeling that. Then after exploring that feeling a bit, I realized that it was there to lead me to the desire that actually was being answered. So the desires were for 1) people to value me whether they understand me or not; 2) people to be able to think differently than I had noticed them doing; 3) me to be able to allow others to allow me. Case in point -- in parts of Asia, there are holy men who required to go out in the streets and beg for food. Some of them wear their robes, and others do not. But in that place, the people who see the beggars cannot tell who is actually a priest or a beggar, so they assume the best about the beggars they see. Can you see something like that happening here? We recently saw a movie about a guy who graduated from college then went on the road, ditched his car, and lived the life of a street person. He was extremely intelligent, charismatic, generous and spiritual. But no one who saw him would be able to tell any of that about him unless they looked beyond the surface.
The point of this explanation is that I must be able to allow people to look at me with understanding and/or value if I actually want to live the benefit of the desire that I have launched. Not only that, I must tap out the thoughts that keep me from allowing that (check out Robert G. Smith's Faster EFT). Then I must put myself in the position of expecting what I want to experience.
What a great tool! Now when I experience anything that is less than what feels good, I have a way to bring it around to benefit me rather than just putting up with it and thinking that because it involves other people, I have no power over my experience.
Have a great one,
Renae

How many affirmations have I played with? Happens all the time...I'm feelin' good... today is so beautiful... you are the best partner ever... I'm going to have a great meal at ___ restaurant, etc.
I am constantly affirming something, so why not do it deliberately. I think today I will affirm joy and love in my experience. Now the question I ask myself is "How do I create this experience?" I say an affirmation to myself..."I am experiencing joy and love in my life right now." The next step for me is this. Using the law of attraction I'll just feel the emotional drivers behind the experience. For example: just remembering how joyfully my daughters interact with the world, and how much I love them will certainly bring me to that place of appreciating and loving my own experience. Thus lining up with me.
This is the first time I have ever blogged. Seems like fun to me.

Sweet Vibrations

The last few days have really been not only challenging, but also inspiring as I notice how well the Law of Attraction and the ability to notice how I'm feeling and the practice of finding a better-feeling thought is paying off. My dad is in the hospital with all kinds of vibrational indicators, and going there every day has been quite different than ever before. I find myself thinking a thought that is not necessarily true, but just habit-things I've thought plenty of times before about "hospitals" and "doctors" and "true wellness", and now I can feel the hit of the negative judgment and instead of sticking with it because I'm right, I now stop and ask myself, "Is this really what I want to think?" Then I ask what my expanded self is seeing and what the real desire is, and I go there.
I love my life, and I love my partner, and I love the 10-year-old geniuses that are part of our lives, and I love my life and my thoughts and my world, and that's just the beginning!
