Pain free/no meds

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT MY PAIN? People have asked me about this many times. It's a good question...one I have dealt with for about 12 years. Have I found an answer? For me, I have, but I don't know about anyone else, so I'll just share my personal experiences. After a motorcycle accident, the doc's wanted to do a hip replacement. I said, "NO". They told me it would only get worse, and that there were no options; the sooner I had the surgery the better it would be.

The big change began the day Renae told me, "You are not your body." It gave me a new perception about my interaction with the condition I was continuously recreating. At that time I was taking from 14 to 16 ibuprofen a day.
I stopped completely, and began waiting for the results, hoping the pain would not reassert itself to the same degree.

Imagine my surprise when about a week later, the pain just stopped. I still have a really gimpy limp since my right leg is about an inch and a half higher than my left one, and I use a hiking pole to control some of the movement. I've never used a cane since they make you lean over (the hiking pole keeps my body erect).

Every day I imagine myself as the huge non-physical being I am. It is as if I am looking at my physical self from a place of detachment, and it really helps to maintain a positive perspective.

I have also learned to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to alleviate any pain without meds. We started with Emofree.com, Gary Craig's site, and later went to Faster EFT with Robert G. Smith. You can find all of this online. It's free, it works, and it works faster than meds ever could.

I have found that with EVERY pain or discomfort there is an emotional tie. Sometimes I know what it is, sometimes I discover it through meditation, and sometimes it reveals itself when I am doing EFT. If it doesn't make itself known, I just tap on releasing the emotional discord that is the source of the discomfort, and letting it leave whatever part of my body it is stored in. I also talk to the intelligence that is representative of my body's cells. It knows what to do, and can create any chemical my physical self, and emotional self needs. It knows what to do, understands the well-being that is my natural state, and without my interference, can fix me up.

Another part of recovery for me was looking for the fun in my life and using any excuse to play. I often challenge my ability to move in different ways, and smile as much as I can, but the best thing is a raucous belly laugh. It changes you and your world, as does the appreciation and love you feel for yourself and your body. Appreciate everything and everyone around you and let them know how much you appreciate them,..it lines your up with your expanded self. Study the Law of Attraction, especially Abraham-hicks. You can't go wrong.

And may the force be with you,
Andries
