I was seven years old, and of course, wise in the ways of the world. I knew I could fly. Maybe I had dreams of flying, but I knew there was a way I could get off the ground. "There must be some kind of trick, and if I could learn ikt, I would surely move like a bird.
The very next Saturday, at the local movie matinee they showed film of some paratroopers.
"Aha! That's it." I thought
I went home, found mama's umbrella, and climbed on top of the garage. It made sense to me that the faster I went, the higher I would fly. I opened my parachute, and ran off the roof, instantly plummeting to the ground.
It wasn't so painful, and I was sure the umbrella would be fine.
Like T. Edison I knew the experience was just an experience, and it was time for me to move on, still convinced I just needed to know the 'trick' to flying.
The next Saturday at the matinee I discovered the secret to flying. There was a film about Superman, and I realized that all I needed was a cape.
When I got home, I got one of mama's towels, pinned it around my neck, and went outside to the garage.
I could feel the power of the cape as I climbed to the rooftop. I stood at the peak of the roof remembering that Superman would leap into the air as he extended his arms, with his cape fluttering behind him.
I ran down the sloped roof to the edge where I leaped into the air and flung my arms into the flying mode.
You can imagine my shock when I found myself sprawled on the ground----again. Needless to say I was disappointed that my cape didn't work, but I wasn't quite ready to 'throw in the towel'. (I know---that was really, really bad---I just couldn't help myself).
The next Saturday Matinee was the 'one'. I was convinced. There were witches in the movie---more than one and they just mounted a broom, and off they went.
"Wow! How easy. I had been making it way too hard.
As soon as I got home from the Lyric theater I got mama's broom, climbed onto the garage, put the broom between my legs, and ran off the roof.
Somehow I had escaped any damage on my previous flights, but this one was truly painful---so I put the flying project in abeyance for awhile.
You might ask "What does this have to do with the Law of Attraction?"
I'm glad you asked that question because childrens thoughts, and intentions are usually more aligned with Source.
I wanted to know how to fly. I was open to any venue----I was vibrating with the desire to fly---so Source, the great Organizer lined me up with ways that seemed to be appropriate. Isn't it interesting that it occurred for three Saturdays in a row?
We get to experience those things to which we vibrate, and focus upon. My words, thoughts and feelings brought me the experiences through Source. I had the general concept, "I can fly.", and Source provided the details that a seven year old boy could relate to.
